Absence Tips: If your child is going to be absent from school, please choose an option:
Option 1 - Email . . .
Include your name, your child’s name, and a reason for absence.
(you may take a picture of the note and attach it to the email)Option 2 - Call the Attendance Clerk
Call 757-825-4440 and report that your child will not be attending school that day and provide an explanation.
You can even take pictures of doctors notes and attach them to your email!
Call the Attendance Clerk at 757-825-4440, and report that your child will not be attending school that day and provide an explanation or email: kraftattendance@hampton.k12.va.us with student name, date, and reason.
Upon your child's return to school, provide a note to excuse the absence that includes: dates of absence, name of child and reason for absence. You may take a picture of the note and send to kraftattendance@hampton.k12.va.us. Please keep your copy for verification purposes.
Vacations are NOT considered excused absences.
After 5 parent notifications of absence, additional absences may be considered unexcused without written documentation from a doctor, court, etc.
