Welcome back to Virginia Readers' Choice reading selection and online voting! Last week was exciting! You all did a wonderful job with the online voting. The results for last weeks’ votes are posted below. Remember, these are the total votes from kindergarten through second grade here at Kraft Elementary only. Once the final votes are counted from all participating elementary in Virginia as well as Kraft, a winner for each level (Primary, Elementary, Middle, and High School) will be announce in the spring.
  • The Last Stop on Market Street by Matt De La Pena - 68 Votes
  • What Do You Do With An Idea? by Kobi Yamanda - 71 Votes
So, once again we will read, listen to and vote on two more books from our Virginia Readers’ Choice selection. The two selections this week are, Found by Salina Yoon and Shh! We have a Plan by Chris Haughton. Continue to look for characters traits, theme, setting, plots etc…along with the illustrations. Remember, you're not voting on a book because of the number of votes it has, or on the recommendation of your classmates, but on how well you feel the author presented the story elements mention above and the quality of the illustrator’s work.
